Kid Friendly Horses
For Western, English and Jumping
Beginner: Student will learn how to groom, handle, tack, warm-up,
cool-down, and ride a horse. They will also learn the importance of safety.
Advanced: Student will learn patterns, lead changes, obstacles, training techniques and much more!
It is important for the student to learn how to handle a horse on the ground. The instructor has the right to make any lesson a ground lesson as she sees fit.
Upon approval of instructor, rider can be moved to a group lesson.
In the event that we cannot ride or work with horses; the instructor will host an un-mounted lesson. There is lots to learn about horses, from breeds and colors, to conformation, blanketing, wrapping, feed and much more!
After approval from instructor, you can use your horse in lesson. You are responsible for transportation. A current negative coggins, updated vaccinations and health certificate is required.

If student is actively* involved in 4-H they can receive a discount on each private lesson.
*Extension representative or club leader has to show proof that the student has been involved at least 70% of activities offered.
Your first lesson is Buy One Get One FREE! Only applies to a private 1 hour lesson. Can only be redeemed once.
4 weekly lessons. Save $20. Lessons do not roll over - unless canceled by instructor.

In order to keep our prices down, we request that you pay with cash or check. There will be a 3% charge for credit/debit cards.
Closed toe shoes with a heel (preferably boots), with long jeans or riding pants. No low-cut shirts or tank tops. See Attire policy below for more information.
Regardless of age or experience, all students must wear helmets when mounted for lesson.
For the safety of horse and rider we ask that students be at least 5 years old and under 200 pounds. Exceptions can be made, please see Age/weight policy below for more information.
A rider will not be turned away due to a disability, we do ask that you make us aware so that we can pair with the right horse.
For safety, a riding evaluation is required for all new students. Your first lesson will be private on program horses. Upon instructors approval lessons can be given on personal horses, and in groups.
